QUARRIES PARK

Public BBQ

Quarries Park presents a compelling blend of recreational offerings against Melbourne's striking city skyline. The expansive playground anchors the space with its impressive wooden structure featuring dual slides - a modest option alongside a towering centrepiece that commands attention. Sand pit areas provide additional play opportunities, though visitors should note the occasional presence of off-leash dogs despite posted restrictions. The park's crown jewel extends beyond typical recreational facilities: the Merri Creek Labyrinth, a community-crafted maze of carefully arranged stones completed over the 2001-2002 summer. This unique installation reflects genuine local investment in the space's character. Picnic areas capitalise on the elevated position, offering magnificent views across Melbourne's urban landscape - particularly striking during summer evenings when the city lights begin to twinkle. The location connects seamlessly to the broader Merri Creek network, making it an excellent staging point for extended exploration.
